Naming and Dropping Files for Marketing

Naming Structure

The first part of the name for a file that is "ready for upload" will be the date. This should be formatted M/D/YY

Next should be the branch name

Then Job ID

The final piece to the naming structure will always be the job type. There are specific values that we use for each of the different job types and it is conveyed via the filename so anyone working on the data can tell what it is for. These characters at the end of the file name are very important as they dictate where the file goes for marketing. This process is completely automated so ensuring you have the right "tag" at the end of the file is imperative.

**It should also be noted that for the files to be dropped correctly there must be a space ("  ") before the file tag**

In the graphic below you will see the different job types and the codes that we assign to them as well as where the files go once they are dropped in RFU. The program that is moving the files does not require the tag to be case-sensitive, but use all caps because it looks better.

DROPPING FILES FOR MARKETING

Based on the final characters of the file name, the files will be automatically dropped into one of Justin's folders.

For example,

files with "GRAD" at the end of them will be automatically dropped into "1-Office Mgr Data\0-For-Justin\GRAD"
