Card Feeding Failed

A "Card Feeding Failed" error will come up when cards are not moving through the card feed process and into the printer. Typically, ZC300s experiencing this issue will require the cards to be pushed by the operator into the card feed mechanism so that the card can be "picked up" by the printer and taken through the printing process.

While this is a very frustrating issue, it is relatively easy to fix. Most of the time when you receive this error, it is because the card feed chamber needs to be cleaned.

This happens because dust and other sticky particles build up over time and can prevent the cards from moving through the card feeder.

To clean the card feed system, take a disinfectant wipe or paper towel with an all-purpose cleaner on it and thoroughly wipe down all surfaces in the card feed chamber. Be sure to wipe dry before using the printer.

The video on the right does a good job of showing how you need to clean the card feed chamber. The person making the video does not speak English, but watching their actions clearly depicts what you need to do.

If cleaning the card feed chamber was unsuccessful in clearing the error from your machine, reinstall the driver and firmware.
