Indoor Seniors
PRIOR TO PICTURE DAY
Scheduling
Dorian has a variety of methods for scheduling
The students come down to the photographer by classroom during the school day.
We assign appointment times during the summer and email the customer their appointment via Pick a Time.
We send a link to parents where they select their desired sitting date and time.

STUDENT HELPERS/FACILITATORS
Typically SEN shoots don’t have parent volunteers, however, they do require the assistance of student volunteers. Always thank the school and students for the help of their volunteers. Listed below are some of the things that your student helpers can do to help the day run smoothly.
Helpers/Facilitators check students in at the front table
Locate the Students Camera Card - call the student by name or ask them what they normally go by and refer to them by that name
Have the student photograph their camera card with their smartphone
Handwrite camera cards for any new students and include an additional card for the photographer to provide them with their access key. The access key can be found in the first field of the TNJ.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PICKATIME EVENTS
Locate the Student’s appointment session from the pickAtime list
Handwrite the number of poses they are to receive in the bottom left corner
Students with additional cap & gown photos need to have their camera card highlighted so it doesn't get missed after the tux/drape photo (if applicable)
Appointments are often made by parents so students may be interested in upgrading their session to include additional poses and/or Cap & Gown.
Explain different session options and accept payment if necessary
Use a session envelope to track payment
Direct the flow of traffic & control the pace of the entire shoot
Direct students to waiting area
Have them leave jackets, backpacks and books in the designated area
Valuables should be kept with the student (phone, keys, wallet, etc.)
Dress students in formal attire and direct them to the camera
Take care when offering tux or drape (student may be non binary)
When using the drape, confirm student is wearing tank top first, if not, offer one of Dorian’s and direct student to the closest bathroom for changing
Take accountability for putting the wrong size clothes on a student, it is always our fault if it doesn't fit, never because of their size or shape. Apologize for the inconvenience and explain that sometimes we need to try a few different ones to get the perfect fit.
Compliment them! Pick something specific to point out. Hair, make up, earrings, necklace, complexion, anything, just let them know they look terrific!

Camera Card FAQs
What if I lose my camera card?
Have students use their phones to take a picture of their camera card on photo day. In the event they lose the physical card, or delete the image from their phone; they’ll need to contact our customer service to retrieve their order key.
When will images be available?
It takes 14 days for the images to be available in their online gallery. Once the gallery is up, students are able to order their photos and select their yearbook choice. If they DO NOT select a pose, the lab will choose one for them.
When will I receive my order?
There is a 3-week turnaround from when the order is placed.

After picture day, the senior will receive a postcard sent to their house as well as an electronic invitation to order (if emails were provided by the school)
Proofs are sent to the customer 10-14 days after it checks into the lab.
