Cleaning the Printer (ZXP3)
With the ZXP3 printers, you can run a cleaning command to have the printer automatically clean its rollers and other important parts of the machine.
This video to the right will go through step-by-step on how to run the cleaning command and use the Zebra cleaning cards.
I have also written out the instructions if that works better for you.
Cleaning the Printer
On a computer running Windows 10, the steps to get to the screen shown on the right are as follows:
Press Windows ( ⊞ ) + I and select Devices, then select Printers and Scanners
Select the Zebra ZXP Series 3 USB Card Printer, click Manage, and select Printing Properties.
Once you have reached this screen, click on "Device Settings" in the upper right-hand corner (highlighted by the red circle in image)
Next click on Tools
Now hit the "Clean" button
The printer will ask you to remove the cards and ribbon from the machine. Once you have done this, wait for the printer commands to come on the screen as they will walk you through the process.
The printer will ask you to put the long card in through the slot the cards come out (highlighted in red).
Once that has finished, the printer will ask you to put the short card into the card feed slot. You are going to fit this card into the card feed slot so that only the top of the card (wider part) is showing.
When the cleaning of the card feed is complete you have successfully cleaned the printer.
