Recalibrating Ribbon Sensor (ZXP3)
On a computer running Windows 10, the steps to get to the screen shown on the right are as follows:
Press Windows ( ⊞ ) + I and select Devices, then select Printers and Scanners
Select the Zebra ZXP Series 3 USB Card Printer, click Manage, and select Printing Properties.
Once you have reached this screen, click on "Device Settings" in the upper right-hand corner (highlighted by the red circle in image)
Next click on Tools
Once you are on the "Tools" screen, type "!SA" into the command line then click on "Execute"
The "Printer Status" line will display a set of numbers then "<ACK>". This "ACK" message is just saying that the command was sent to the printer successfully.
After the printer has completed its recalibration you are done.
Another useful command for ZXP3 printers is "R". You enter this command in the same was as the ribbon calibration command above. The "R" command will reset your printer. At times, this can alleviate issues.
